Just as simple as the title says — an option to only show the bookmarks bar when the toolbar is hovered. Maybe show the default bookmark bar show/hide animation to make it more logical and eye-pleasing.

thank you @Agentvirtuel for the userChrome.rss script you posted above to address this issue. It is working beautifully for me! Much appreciated; and, much appreciating Firefox for allowing such customizations.

As @howiejc aptly wrote: "Maximizing the viewable area by auto-hiding unused or unnecessary UI seems so basic and fundamental."

Strollin' around

Hello All!

@Agentvirtuel  The script you provide is far too complicated for me. The reddit link has been removed so that's not helpful. The github link doesn't provide any info on how to use the info.

Does anyone out there have a link where I can learn more??

There is an extension named "Bookmark Sidebar" for Edge and Chrome and that is the only reason I am not with Firefox anymore. I can recommend that extension. It would be nice if there where a similar extension or built in functionality in Firefox. Like there was before. I would change back to Firefox in that case. But until that I stay with Edge (or Chrome). I have more than 1900 bookmarks and need a function like this. I hope it will come.
