Hello!

Please add auto-filling of bookmark contents (title and URL) when adding a new bookmark.

Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Brave) automatically add the title from the HTML and the active tab's URL.

Currently, when trying to add a new bookmark, I have to first compose the URL and manually paste it into the new tab fields — this is inconvenient.

Thank you.

That only happens when you add a new bookmark in the Bookmarks Manager. Why not add the bookmark right when you're on the page you want to bookmark?

It's inconvenient when I rename a bookmark. This happens in most cases. As you described, I have to take two steps instead of one.

It is inconvenient when a user renames a bookmark, which happens in many cases.

When adding a bookmark, some browsers open a separate window with several inputs: title, URL, etc. If the user is on the page, data is automatically added to these inputs. To change them, a user need to focus on the input and enter a new value. This is convenient when you need to rename a bookmark: e.g., all my bookmarks are renamed.

FF also opens a window, but all inputs are empty. When adding a bookmark using the method you described, the user needs to click on the bookmark again and rename it.

Thus, the user takes two steps instead of one.

This would reduce manual copy paste steps and make bookmarking faster, especially for users who save many pages during research or work sessions.
