By "auto-detect emoticons" i mean if I type 🙂 or 🙂 then the email client changes that into a 🙂 like a kind of auto-correct feature (desktop).
It's something I miss since I gave up using Outlook and it is sooo clunky, especially in the desktop version, having to click the emoticon button to get the well-worn symbols.
Funnily enough that was my main interest in having auto-correct, even though it was quite good at spotting ym transpositions 😉
