The timer widget is a great feature and I've already been using it extensively in the main Firefox build, but it's a bit annoying to have to make a new tab every time I want to see how much time I have left or to start a new timer.

A drop-down banner that appears somewhere on the taskbar or appears somewhere in the corner displaying at least the time remaining in the current timer would be really helpful.

I just tried the Timer widget and I don't get a notification when the time is up, even if I selected «Activer les notifications». Am I supposed to hear a sound?

Hi, there!

Yes, you should see the OS notification and hear a sound. Is it possible your Firefox isn't set up to receive notifications from your OS (Windows, Mac, or other)?

I know I personally had to set this up in my Mac to allow notifications for Firefox, using instructions like these: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/notifications-settings-mh40583/mac

I found this for Windows: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-ie/answers/questions/5858244/how-to-get-apps-to-show-in-notifications...

Let us know if that doesn't work. It's definitely worth it to set up the notifications, I think!
