When using vertical tabs, some extensions (such as BitWarden) are shown at the bottom of the sidebar and cannot be hidden.  This is despite having BitWarden in my menu bar, for example.  Please allow us to hide all of the sidebar extensions in vertical tabs mode.

Strollin' around

Yes please, it takes up valuable vertical tab space.

Perhaps also provide an option to display sidebar extensions in an icons-only grid layout, much like pinned tabs.

Making moves

This seems to have been enacted in a recent update but does not seem to be optional, rather all extensions are simply hidden by default with no option to toggle their appearance back on again in the Sidebar settings. The option to hide these would be great, and perhaps even have them hidden by default, but it should be optional rather than the new single option if possible.

Hi folks,

The ability to hide individual extensions from the sidebar has just shipped with the 142 update. The update is being actively rolled out today (Aug 19th), so you can expect to get it very shortly.

After you right-click the sidebar extension and choose Remove from sidebar, you can always change your choice in the sidebar settings (behind the gear icon).

The individual variations you might have seen earlier are likely due to developers changing whether their extension supports the sidebar or not.
