The AI in sidebar looks good, but it would be really awesome if you add a shortcut for more usability. Clicking by mouse every time to open chat is very uncomfortable and takes long time!

Also it would be convenient to open some items from sidebar menu on the left side, whereas AI opened on the right side. Thanks!

Can we disable/change the new shortcut? It uses the same shortcut as the Bitwarden autofill.

Agree with VeganFox - you've taken, I assume, a rather popular keyboard shortcut and not given any way to change it or disable it.

Even disabling AI Chatbot in settings doesn't help, as the shortcut simply re-enables it then pops it up.

@adrianlondonThey have turned it off again in the latest nightly, at least for now (sauce).

It would be awesome if we could assign shortcuts to any sidebar option, not just the chatbot, for example, a shortcut to make the sidebar expand, a shortcut to search through the opened tabs, like a fuzzy finder, etc

How about CTRL-SHIFT-.  (period)

That shortcut is used in the Edge browser.

Shortcut for AI should be Ctrl + Shift + A   ... but adjustable of course
It's currently for Addons which I would change to Alt + A

It would be really cool to have a keyboard shortcut to open the AI Chatbot sidebar/window.

Hi folks,

We have implemented a Ctrl + X (macOS)/ Ctrl + alt + X (Windows/Linux) shortcut, and it will become available in Firefox 135 (you can see the search for available shortcuts across two bugzilla tickets, as the fastest majority of more convenient options is taken by something else).

I know that this will be problematic in many locales, and I am very sorry we don't yet have a better solution. We have run out of available shortcuts, and breaking existing shortcuts that folks already use for other purposes is a non-starter proposition.
We do want to offer customizable shortcuts in the long run, but that's something that's not yet planned.
