Modern Password Managers such as Bitwarden require PFR compatible browsers for some features such as unlocking vaults via Passkeys.

As Firefox currently does not support this is relies on the user needing to remember (to be more secure but less so than a passkey) complex passwords which for a human to remember are more likely to be brute forced.

Baseline support and Windows Support are now implemented and expected to be released in Firefox 135.
