This would be a good idea to reach new users. There are already a few other browsers on there such as Vivaldi and Opera, and I think Firefox should be an option for users too.

Would really appreciate if this happens!

I agree with this. I recently acquired a Huawei Phone since my old phone (Samtaesong) broke.. left my launch codes, very bad. Brother Xi gave me a new Huawei though!

Only alternative I can think of due to lack of AppGallery is using F-Droid, or Aurora Store - the latter being more convenient since it's literally a FOSS client for Google Play which means instant updates for Firefox in line with Play Store releases.

I see no further comments or progress on this issue. Firefox is not in F-Droid or in the Huawei app store. So it's either GBox or installation from source, which is crazy.  General phone users cannot be expected to do this.

Can someone explain why Mozilla seems to insist on this own goal?

After some online research, I figured out that Firefox is unfortunately integrated with the google ecosystem, which is why you won't find it in AppGallery or F-droid. On F-Droid you will only find a fork called Fennec. Works like a charm, but makes you think what Mozilla is doing

Hi everyone,I’m super excited to let you know that Firefox is now available for download in the Huawei AppGallery! If you’ve been using the APK version, we highly recommend migrating to the AppGallery version—it means simpler, more reliable updates straight from the store.A huge thank you to all of you whose feedback helped make this happen. Your input was critical in helping us prioritize this launch. As always, please let us know how the new experience works for you!The Firefox team

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I was so happy to read this email notification about my request finally happening. I must say, it took you a long time, but nonetheless, it works perfectly! Rest assured, you helped to make the world a better place for ALL Huawei users. Just like you did with Firefox 1.0 on PC when you originally released it, and provided a better and more open way to explore the internet.

Thank you. I am very grateful.

Thank you so much for making this happen!
I was so happy to receive this email notification about the release. My idea finally came to fruition after all these years. Rest assured you have made the world a better place for ALL Huawei users, who now can use an up-to-date, auto-updating browser with sync capabilities and full compatibility.

You did it again, just like when you made the internet a more open a free space with Firefox 1.0 on PC. Thank you I am very grateful.

Finally. That took about 3 years.

But it's not being updated. There is 142.0.1, while recent is 143.0.2.

@rtestard  Hello, are there any plans to release this in mainland China? If not yet available, are there any specific issues that need to be resolved?
