Add a "X" clear option in search field in Thunderbird Address Book

Status: New idea

I think it could be useful an "X" icon to clear the search field (as in search messages) in Thunderbook Address Book so that you can go back to all Address Book entries being displayed.

While you are waiting for "the team" top think about your suggestion.  Try using the ESC key to clear your searches.  It works now!

@MattAuSupport That's brilliant!!

I'll have to test to see if that is universal across many apps.  It's easier that grabbing the mouse and clicking on an X. if it is, it may be as useful as Ctrl+P for printing. Esc, doesn't appear to work in Quicken. But, it does work in LibreOffice.
