Why are there so many instances of FF running and ALL at the same time, and at least half of them taking up memory / RAM.
Chrome and Edge don't do this, so why does FF.
It kind of like makes it look like sloppy programming.
See attached picture.

Meaning that since there is empty memory not being used, let's just use it up. Great idea if the computer was only running FireFox. Of course, if you are going to run other apps, well that just too bad for you. Calculadora Alicia.

Firefox uses multiple processes to improve performance and security, similar to how Chrome and Edge manage tabs and extensions. While this can increase memory usage (check here), it's designed to make the browser more stable and responsive. It’s not a sign of sloppy programming, but rather a trade-off for better performance and security.

Firefox uses a multi-process architecture (Electrolysis or e10s) that allows it to run multiple instances simultaneously for improved performance and security. This means each tab and extension can operate in its own process, isolating crashes and enhancing responsiveness. While this design may result in several processes consuming memory, it helps manage resources more efficiently and leverages multiple CPU cores. Although Chrome and Edge also employ similar multi-process models, their management of these processes can vary, leading to different user experiences. If you're seeing high memory usage, it might be worth checking for problematic extensions or adjusting settings in Firefox to optimize performance.

One day in the mid-two-thousands, a teen-ager named Amy waited to hear the voice of God. She was sitting in a youth Bible-study group, surrounded by her peers, and losing patience. Everyone else in the group seemed to hear God speak all the time, but Amy had never heard Him, not even a peep. Her hands didn’t shimmer with gold dust after she prayed, as others claimed theirs did, and she was never able to say, with confidence, “The Holy Spirit told me to do it.” She went home that evening, determined to try again the next day. A few years passed and she still heard nothing. She began to wonder if something was wrong with her. “God didn’t talk to me,” she wrote later, in a blog post. “I was afraid that meant either he wasn’t there, or I wasn’t good enough.”

Yes, you have given a clear and precise explanation. Because of its multi-process architecture, which aims to improve stability and efficiency, Firefox may run multiple instances concurrently. Because each process handles different tasks, memory efficiency is improved and a single crash doesn't affect the entire browser. Despite the seeming high memory consumption, this is a purposeful design decision to pinpoint problems and enhance overall. Tiblor

Firefox uses multiple processes for performance and stability, which can seem like it’s using more RAM. Each tab or add-on often runs in its own process to prevent crashes from affecting the entire browser. While it may look resource-heavy, it’s intentional for a smoother experience overall.By the way, speaking of smooth design, if you're planning a remodel, consider stylish hauswirtschaftsraum fliesen for your laundry room!

Firefox uses a multi-process architecture (e10s) to improve performance and security. Each tab, extension, and some internal functions run in separate processes, which is why multiple instances appear in your Task Manager. This isolation prevents one tab from crashing the entire browser but uses more memory.
