A year ago there was this office hours youtube video, entitled "When Will Thunderbird Get A PROPER Conversation View?"
It was discussing the ongoing efforts to rebuild the Thunderbird database such that a proper conversation view could be implemented. The announcement was that "we hope to have the new global message database done before ESR 128" (with a deadline of May 31st, 2024). Well, that obviously didn't happen, we're now an entire ESR later at 140, and it's been very quiet around this topic. Could anyone provide an update on what the current status is?

@jandavid good progress is being made on conversations view, but it is a big effort. A related code name is "panorama".
