Thunderbird folder names case insensitive

If I try to change a folder name from FInABC to FinABC (uppercase I to lowercase i) it tells me the folder exists. Yet I can make two changes:

FInABC to FinABCX and then FinABCX to FinABC.  (effectively changing uppercase I to lowercase).

Should the folder names be case sensitive or not?

Hello,

I have the same issue with the sent folder that is not well recognized. Thunderbird does not make any difference between "sent" and "Sent".

I can't select the sent in lowercase in thunderbird parameters.
