I am receiving a s**tload of spam now daily, and becoming frustrated trying to set up filters in different email apps. Our friendly neighborhood mobile operator Elisa doesn't seem to be doing anything to prevent the tsunami of spam, at least that's what is seems to me. As Thunderbird is my favourite email app, I would like to continue using it, but I would need more tools to fight spam on the app end. For instance, I can't find the "delete message permanently" option anywhere anymore, but I remember TB to have it in the past at least. So where is it, and why it's not there anymore? If it did exist, I would put that on the top of my email filter rules so I wouldn't have to go to my Spam folder to separately delete the spam there or to my Trash folder to do the same. Or is there something I don't know how to achieve this? Moreover, is there any really good add-on for TB to use that's actually working today and kept updated, since what I've gathered, there are many add-ons for TB, but most of the reviews say they don't work anymore when TB gets updates. Is that true, and what could be done? I really, really, need more tools to fight those spammer f-ers!
