On the latest Firefox release, the scrolling behavior with tab bar enabled and scroll-to-hide feature is still problematic. I need to swipe beyond the height of the tab bar for the UI to hide and beyond the height of the address bar for the UI to show up again. This causes unnatural scrolling behavior, especially on larger screens like tablets.
Problem:
Upward swipes require a distance longer than the tab bar height to hide the UI and scroll the webpage.
Downward swipes need to go beyond the address bar height to trigger UI reappearance.
The interaction feels forced and unresponsive. It’s counterintuitive compared to other browsers like Chrome or Samsung Internet, which don’t have this issue.
Expected Behavior:
The UI should immediately hide with a small upward swipe and scroll content.
The UI should show again with a small downward swipe, without needing to exceed the UI height.
This issue had been reported in bugzilla https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2014410 but according to my test, it still remains even on the latest Nightly version. Please do something to fix it.
