In recent update the change was done to "Contrast Control" settings.
Before, you could "Manage colors" and apply custom background to the document to remove annoying flickering of white default background when when the dark page reloads. (This changed only default background, so only #FFFFFF.)
Now, you this settings is changing ALL backgrounds. Indeed, this is more in line of what the settings suggest it will do, but, for me at least, it is completely useless.
I suggests to add a feature that you can target only document/body background or the default background (and styles) of the browser: changing default background from #FFFFFF to any color, #000000, and changing default TimesNewRoman font, etc. – This is something I find useful, to change the styles of the websites that did NOT style their own page; not that you force the style to every webpage (like this new update).
Maybe I am doing something wrong, so please correct me if that is true.
Cheers!

I totally agree. The computer is there for a reason, to make our lives easier, not harder, & to accommodate for all users' different needs & preferences. There are literally at least millions of colors available, & here we are w/ some people all they can do is provide you w/ a "forced white background" - pretty lame. A well designed webpage should always allow for the user's prefered background color.
