Did you mean:

"Default" window keeps being set by FireFox to sub-window!

I CHECKED this title before trying to publish and didn't get the 100 char warning:
Original Title: ""Default" window keeps being set by FireFox to the second window that I opened and is NOT the window that has dozens of Tabs open"

I always have two windows open:

One that I'm active in and have dozens of tabs open within
AND
the second that has just ten tabs for very specific functions.

Whenever I go to another Application FROM my "main" window and then when I click on FireFox I'm taken to my "sub" window.
WHY?

Normally Firefox will open external links in a new tab in the most recently active window. To make sure your second window isn't accidentally made the most recently active, I suggest minimizing it so when you switch around among applications, it is never given the focus after your main window. Does that work?

If that doesn't work, hmm, what is going on... Are there any differences between whether the windows are regular or private windows? Are there any differences between whether they have both regular tabs and pinned tabs (or only pinned tabs)?

You might want to post this problem on the Mozilla Support site. They have a team of support volunteers to troubleshoot malfunctions with your currently installed version of Firefox, while this site is focused on idea submissions for future versions of Firefox (looking ahead anywhere from 8 weeks to many months). Here's a link to the new question form (for Windows/Mac/Linux): https://mzl.la/3y1vQUQ

Hi there thanks for the reply mate.
Stupid me I thought that this was a Mozilla support site!
IF the designers of the next versions of FFox don't know about it they can't fix it, eh?

I've tried everything with the sizes and even leaving a SpeedTest running in a Tab in my "main" widow does not help. I do not pin tabs all are the same Vanilla! That said it sometimes happens, particularly after downloading & installing a new version of FFox, that it sorts it for a while!
I think that I'm being hacked but do not know how to check who's doing it.
