Please add an option on Android to switch back to the older UI

The old menu UI was alot more ergonomic because websites start at the top of the screen so most user interaction would be at the top of the screen especially on large devices.

The new menu UI:

1. Takes up too much of the screen,

2. Requires more button presses to access 80% of the menu,

3. Requires you to reach to opposite sides of the screen too often,

4. Has switched alot of features from toggles/icons to text which makes it harder to identify.

5. You also were able to exit the tab switcher alot easier by either swiping down from the bottom or clicking outside of it from the top.

Therefore imho I think there should be a permanently available option in the settings to switch back to the old UI.

The following posts mention similar issues that wouldn't exist if we could switch back:

Android 14 Menus don't make sense anymore

This post has the wrong name because it's a Firefox change not an Android change, but it's the same thing.

here's how to disable it

1. go to settings, about Firefox, then click the Firefox logo 5 times to activate debug settings

2. go back to the settings menu and then scroll down and you should see the secret settings menu

3. inside the secret settings menu, toggle these four options off

Enable Composable Toolbar
Enable Redesigned Toolbar Options
Enable Toolbar Customization
Enable Tab Manager enhancements

Then go back and everything should be back to how it was. If it doesn't close or force stop the app and reopen it.

That doesn't work.

Same problem a slution needed

I don't appear to have "enable tab manager enhancements".

Same problem a solution needed

Disabling Composable Toolbar fixed it for me, thank you very much! New UI making me move my thumb between far corners of the screen was unhinged design.

The only way to fix this is to downgrade to version 127.0.3 and then do this.

They might've removed the files for the old UI.

This new ui is impossible to revert, there should be a permanently available option in the settings to switch back to the old UI

Been waiting for this to be fixed as was first broken in Nightly Android and then moved over to main release.

Now the disable "Enable Composable Toolbar" bug to use classic efficient menu is broken in latest update of Firefox fork Waterfox. Need adblocker browser that lets me show page source as otherwise I'd just stick with Chrome

Yeah the new UI sucks, I had to downgrade to an older version to use the old UI again.

If they force me to use the new UI somehow, I will switch to an another browser.
