On MacOS, attachment cannot be drag and dropped from TB to Files or WhatsApp

On Thunderbird 128.7.0esr (64-bit) for MacOS, attachment of an Incoming Mail cannot be drag and dropped to WhatsApp App. I get this message ".com.apple.Foundation.NSItemProvider.hZWW1P.tmp" data - Zero KB (see attachment). On sending, nothing is sent.
