Hello,
I am here to share my immense dislike of the new Android UI update. The changes feel bloated, adds tons of dead space, hides things behind additional clicks, menus appear with no logic. Overall, the app is definitely less useable than before.
I am disappointed in the direction these updates seem to be going. There is no focus on good design, instead, it seems as if it's a focus to chrome-ify Firefox as much as possible. Whatever new executive thought this was a good idea and deemed this update was ready for public viewing should be assigned different tasks. Focus on your strengths and differentiate on that.

Hi,
I was looking for way to provide feedback about new toolbox on Firefox Android and yes, I feel the same as the above comment. Seems to take more space than before, and too similar from another big browser.
To be more specific about the new changes :
- I believe that having a 'home button' to go back to homepage, and from here open what I want, in the same tab, is more convenient that always having new tabs.
- I also see the notification icon as a distraction, and strange in top of a menu.

my greatest gripe is in the url bar.
1) looks too much like stupid chrome.
2) it succeded in making everything look smaller bloated, less dense, good job to the designer. /s
3) still can't disable the stupid url formatting.
I can live with the rest of the redesign, just not the url bar.

honestly: did google force them to use material 3, or else no more sweet cash? because it looks like the redesign of core apps in google pixels.

I hate it too. I hate everything material design and that is one reason I use Firefox in the first place!

I despise the new 3 button settings option. I have small hands so its gone from a neat little bar on the right I can easily use while still seeing content on the browser to something that covers the whole page and is hard for me to handle one handed. I can't even reach the back button with my thumb and have to strain to reach a lot of the other content on the left side of the browser.

the new address bar is huge and ugly. i like the rest of the ui changes though.

I agree with what others have said about the less than intuitive design, and want to add that I despise that the colors on the loading bar changed. Seeing the previous mix of colors was like a small glimpse of the sunset every time I was waiting for a page to load. Now, it's just...red. I hadn’t realized how happy it made me until it was gone. I would at least like an option to change it back.

I completely agree! This new UI is a huge downgrade from before.. It's not even like you can choose between the previous layout and the new to provide feedback!

Definitely need the Home Button back! So many steps now just to get my home page— Bad move Mozilla!

I really hate having to open a separate menu to add tabs to collections on top of the tabs being on top (which I can't reach with one hand).

The new UI is absolutely unusable. I reverted to 148.0.2 because the settings that used to revert the change (in the Secret Settings menu) no longer work, and I won't be upgrading until they're functional again. If Mozilla persists with this change, I'll have to switch to a different browser.

Everything about the new UI is terrible, and it increases hand movement to do things you could do with one thumb before, like quickly refreshing a page. It looks like it's designed for kids and senior citizens with bad eyesight. Significant downgrade from the old UI!!

Made an account to voice my same hatred for the new UI. Everything about it makes using one hand operation impossible. Having the settings spread out instead of directly under your thumb at the lower right hand of the screen makes no sense. And forcing the tabs to the top of the screen regardless of the amount of tabs results in the same issue, having to either reach/strain to hit the button, or having to use 2 hands. I find the tab view especially egregious because I use tab list, not grid, because I hate the large boxes with wasted space. So now that list view has large borders or boxes around them, it's back to wasted space and ugly designs. I specifically specifically switched to Firefox because it wasn't like all the Chrome browsers.
Ultimately I know I'm shouting into a void. Chrome didn't back down when they made changes. When Brave followed suit to imitate them, they didn't back dowm. When Netflix changed to their user unfriendly UI, they too didn't back down. The argument is always the same. "you just don't like change" "you'll get used to it". So I have no hopes this will get fixed. In the mean time, I've regressed to version 148 and I will not be updating while I search for a new browser.
