Mozilla use of RAM and Swap File and SUSPEND failure.

Making moves

My experience:

The RAM and SWAP files get increasing full when Firefox and Thunderbird are running as the system goes through repeated SUSPEND operations. This results in both apps failing to respond and a reboot is necessary. This is evident on Linux Mint 22.3 SYSTEM MONITOR - RESOURCES with four Windows and several tabs open. This seems to be when the RAM is around 50% (3GB) and the SWAP around 50% (1GB). Often, the whole system is locked up and a hard restart is necessary.

With extra apps running, the RAM and SWAP files can increase significantly and still function, but not Mozilla apps! I think this all began with the upgrade of MINT (UBUNTO based) from 19 to 22.3 and replacing the graphics card from AMD to Nvidea.
