Believe it or not, some people use browser sessions and tabs for work. When we are forced to restart, it not only breaks focus, it often completely stops work. Despite assurances, FF NEVER restores my tabs on restart unless there's an actual crash (MacOS). That means creating multiple temporary bookmarks and scrambling to copy everything needed to notes.
KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF.
Give us a reminder to restart at the end of our session, or give us a session snapshot that ACTUALLY FREAKING WORKS. This needs to support having multiple profiles open, too.
I cannot believe the entire Mozilla workforce looks at this ABSOLUTE FAILURE OF UX and says "yeah, they're probably just Insta and Amazon... they'll TOTALLY be fine with a quick restart."
Consider adults with professional careers, students working on remote learning, and PEOPLE DOING THINGS that don't need forced restarts just to continue doing what they're doing. Whoever thought this up needs to spend eternity walking into clear glass doors face first.
