Microsoft hijacking Thunderbird links

Making moves

Microsoft is hijacking links when I use Thunderbird email. It used to be Chrome when I click a link in an email but on the last two days or so every time I click on a link from any email it opens in Bing instead of my choice of Chrome. Some web search claims it's a virus or malware. So I'm forced to stop using Thunderbird. If Microsoft does not want its OS to be used by Google it should make it clear to all users instead of doing this. Just wanted you guys to be aware of it. This is low from Microsoft. I used only Firefox in the past but one day all my bookmarks disappeared so I stopped using Firefox which I liked very much until one of the "updates" got rid of all my bookmarks. Now I hate the Internet.
