Solution ChangeThunderbird incomming and outgoing to Oauth2.
Also set pop-mail.outlook.com incoming and smtp-mail.outlook.com outgoing
Use StartTls for both.
pop up appeard while trying to log ito microsoft outlook - pop-mail.outlook.com. I accepted.
I received email from Microsoft after registering Thunderbird with Microsoft with this link to account:
