Firefox on Android - OS version spoofing

Arma
Making moves

Starting with version 122, Firefox for Android essentially lies about running on Android 10 regardless of the actual OS version, and I don't get at all why this was necessary? It's not harmful to the user's privacy at all (not like it's some kind of personally identifiable information), and it prevents website owners from understanding their visitors' preferred platforms. So far, I'm seeing no website breakage from this change, but naturally, I want websites to know my real OS version, and I don't see an option to revert this change other than switching to the Beta/Nightly versions of Firefox since they don't have the advanced config page access disabled. Why, just why?
