I can see what the idea behind it was, but there's several issues.
The giant icon leaves less space for text, meaning you have to scroll a lot if you want to change a specific part of an url or of a bookmark name.
The order in which folders and items are set up is confusing, I still don't know whether it was sorted newest to oldest, alphabetically, or randomly.
Removing the save button was an obvious detriment. Every single alteration made to a bookmark was permanent if you didn't remember what it was before, with no way to cancel alterations if you change your mind.
A few things that could be changed for the better instead of the things altered in the study are:
Add the ability to manually change the order of bookmarks. Currently, if I want something in a specific part of a folder, I need to remove after that part, and then put everything back in the correct order.
And finally, my main problem with things as they are currently, is the browser automatically putting new bookmarks in specific folders with other similar bookmarks. I've lost count of how many times I've had to resort things because a bookmark was automatically sorted into a folder it shouldn't be in. It's better to just put all new bookmarks outside of any folders, like it was a few versions ago.
