I would like to share some feedback regarding the PDF viewing experience in Firefox on Windows, along with a couple of usability concerns.
Firstly, while highlighting text in the built-in PDF viewer, a pop-up appears every time. This repeated interruption becomes distracting and affects the reading flow. It would be helpful if this behavior could be made less intrusive or optionally disabled.
Secondly, in full-screen mode, even a slight accidental movement of the mouse to the top of the screen immediately exits or disrupts the full-screen experience. Compared to other browsers like Microsoft Edge, which allows a small buffer time before responding, Firefox feels overly sensitive. A slight delay or improved detection of user intent would significantly enhance usability.
Additionally, saving changes made to PDFs appears to be more straightforward and user-friendly in Edge. Improving this aspect in Firefox would make it more efficient for users who frequently work with PDF documents.

Thanks @ippo. We are working on the first and third idea 🙂
For the second, is it only related to PDFs or all web pages?

Both PDF and web pages

@ippo could you create a separate idea for that then? In general, it's best if you create separate ideas for separate things, so it's easier for other people to vote and for us to discuss 🙂

Hi,
Thanks for viewing and modifying PDFs in Firefox. I've just discovered these new functions and I hope being able to use only Firefox for that very soon.
