Are you going to fix the horrible 149 UI with this update?

Hi sarose,

Can you be more specific about which part of the UI update that you don't like?

The wasted space in the tabs menu, both for grid and list view. The horribly laid out settings menu that moves buttons that were immediately accessible directly under the thumb, to the far reaches of the screen, removing the ease of one handed use. Opening new tabs focuses the menu from the top of the screen and file the whole screen. This means having to reach to the top of the screen to switch between tabs if using the bottom address bar.

Ok, let's unpack the above:

  • Tabs list: You want a more compact view. Noted!
  • Settings menu: Buttons that immediately accessible before were moved. Can you tell me more which buttons are you referring to exactly?
  • Opening new tabs ux: I couldn't replicate your experience on my end (see the attached screenshot of how it look like on my device). Can you tell me which version are you using currently?

Version 148.0.1

Every button was more accessible from the previous menu, but specifically the back, forward, send, and refresh buttons were all immediately under the thumb after pressing the menu button. The settings list was more compact and oriented to the right of the screen, allowing for easy one handed use.

Noted. In the meantime, can you update to version 150 and see if the experience improved?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. These issues are with 149 and 150. I had updated to the latest version, but switched back to 148 to avoid all these changes. 148 and earlier had none of these pointless changes.

Firefox for Android users are not excited but mourning that a once great browser is being destroyed by Mozilla via the anti-human UI.

Alex, can you be more specific about which part of the Android UI update you don't find helpful?
