I wish this was implemented a long time ago, considering this post is from 2022! It is like pulling teeth every time I want to hide/unhide the folder pane. Each time I want to do this, I have to go to View| Layout | Folder Pane. Why can't a button be...

I used to use an add-on for this, but it went by the wayside after an update. 
