When clicking on the top left "View recent browsing across windows and devices" button, put the cursor in the search box

I often click the top left "View recent browsing across windows and devices" button and just start typing what I want to search for, but the cursor hasn't been placed in the search box. It takes an extra click to put it there (tab just highlights something else). 

Please smooth this process, reduce the clicks, and activate the search box for typing as soon as the window loads.
