Vertical tabs expand on maximized window

It would be great to add an option for the vertical tabs sidebar to automatically collapse when the application window is not maximized or in fullscreen mode, and to expand again when the window is maximized or returned to fullscreen.

This would be especially helpful when working with multiple windows side by side. Having the ability to collapse the sidebar through the webextension API would also be helpful.
