I use my bookmarks toolbar as a quick access for a lot of my links - on the left, i have the websites i browse every day, and then i have a bunch of folders in which i have all the other websites, organized by category (news, social networks, etc.).
While it's possible to give whatever name to the folders (including emojis), I wondered if it was possible to replace the folder icon by a customizable emoji - this would allow to put the newspaper emoji for the news folder, for example. It would also allow to only have an emoji (and no text nor folder icon) in order to gain space on the bookmarks toolbar.
I'm joining a picture of my current setup (on top), and what a setup with emoji replacing the folder icons would look like.

Making moves

Overall the bookmarks feature has been left alone for quite some time. There are a few features that have been recommended that would really enhance and modernize it.

I think emoji icons for folder icons is a step in the right direction as its widely supported format. This could even be furthered by allowing customized icons. Possibly <svg> to be used.

tldr; I use Zen because of the workspaces feature.

I have been on Firefox (nee Netscape Navigator) since around 1998 or so.

Though the profile switcher has been made a lot easier in FF, it still works by using separate windows (one window per profile). I much rather prefer workspace as an intermediate concept such that tabs are grouped by the definition of a workspace, but within the same window/profile. This allows me to manage my settings and extensions (and their settings) in a uniform manner.

I can see the allure / benefit for folks who want to use profiles as the boundary - since that allows them to use different extensions and/or different settings within each profile. But, this is not my usecase. (I prefer the opposite.)

When workspaces comes as a full fledged feature in firefox, please also include the ability to switch workspaces based on a keyboard combination (hotkeys). Going the similar route of the new profile switcher (ie without keyboard shortcuts for switching) would stunt this feature!

Finally, as a stretch goal, if each workspace can have an associated default container, and based on the url being opened, the tab can be opened in the appropriate container in the appropriate workspace - this would make me ditch zen and come back to FF!
