Hello, thank you for your continuing work on Firefox!
Since the new Nova design is currently being worked on, I have noticed that when you try to use the Alpenglow theme, the sidebar is currently transparent and shows what is behind it due to how the theme works. I would love to see this implemented into an official theme along with the launch of the Nova design.

Thanks for reaching out to us! Would you mind posting a screenshot of what you mean and what you'd like the behaviour to be? I'm having trouble understanding based just on the text description

On linux (Ubuntu) I have the same with every theme. Around the tab island, it is fully transparent and one can see the background as if nothing is there. The island with the tab is solid, but the border around is 100% transparent. It's like having 3 separate windows but glued together

Hello, here is what the sidebar looks like using the "Alpenglow" theme on the latest Firefox Nightly build with the Nova design enabled. Below the theme the section is semi-transparent.Screenshot_20260525_153354.png
