The most sought after feature in Firefox for Android is the translation feature. Mozilla can meet this request by adding the following translation plugin to the default plugins.
Tested on Firefox Nightly for Android and works fine. It can make instant translations without opening a new page.
They are working on that since an year with EU support: https://github.com/mozilla/firefox-translations
That is this project https://browser.mt/
@Mte90 very cool, thanks for highlighting that. Do you know the proposed implementation; will it translate the whole page like one can in Chrome with Google Translate? That’s the holy grail.
Yes the purpose is create an alternative to that if you search on internet you can find the updates and how works 🙂
Yup. But it's too early for desktop only and mobile. Including this plugin in the mobile version will save time.
When will this translation plug-in be added to ADD-ONS? Convenient for us to install, thank you!
I'd like to see a Firefox (or partner) translator built into the mobile browser.
Due to the lack of such a translator, you have to use a different browser on your smartphone.
Plugins help on the PC, perhaps the problem could be solved by supporting the translator plugin on Android.
