Lately, I have been using the "Take Screenshot" feature to capture a continuous image of websites for archiving and future reference (mostly when doing researching a specific topic). I prefer this option over using the "Save to PDF" feature (accessible through the print dialogue/menu), since I benefit greatly from having a continuous image based on my display's resolution rather than having a PDF file with multiple pages of predefined paper sizes (A4, letter, etc.). However, I do miss being able to have the site's URL, title and the timestamp when it was saved directly and permanently embedded on the final image (by enabling the "Print headers and footers" option when saving to PDF).
I have looked into the official documentation (Take screenshots in Firefox | Firefox Help, Taking screenshots — Firefox Source Docs documentation and How to print web pages in Firefox | Firefox Help), trying to find a way to achieve this with no success.
I'm guessing this feature has not been implemented yet, but would like to suggest it here.
If anyone has any information on how to add this information to screenshots (natively and without add-ons or third-party software), I would be very thankful if you could share it 🙂
