Thunderbird - Trash/delete button beside star in cards view

It would provide an easy one click option to delete an email without clicking the email itself and opening it.  Adding a trash button next to the star button in card view would be helpful without actually opening up the email much like how it is in Outlook would be very helpful.

This is because there are far more very useful and important Thunderbird projects in the backlog, waiting for developers, than the number of existing contributors and developers can fix.  

I would encourage @KarolTheGuy and other coders here to investigate doing the work of incorporating their ideas and code into Thunderbird mainline.  They would need to get in touch with the Thunderbird development team.

Indeed. This extension is so good that I can't believe it's not in mainline already.
