Thunderbird Sync for sharing settings between devices (like Firefox Sync)

I'd like to be able to keep the thunderbird settings, layouts, etc in sync across multiple systems (and ideally, mobile).

I'm glad to see sync setting is planned soon ... but that message was from two years ago and many versions! Syncing is vital for my sanity.

Sync Win/iOS

Hello, Guten Tag! 
On the day when Thunderbird will be in sync on iOS and Windows, I will donate. Not just once. Otherwise it makes no sense to me!
