Hi!

It's quite tedious to group archived mails. Actually, I never do this. Having them grouped automatically would make it easier for me to find an e-mail, especially if I forget the subject or sender. It would be even more comfortable if this grouping was done visually.

Technically, the e-mails could be shown as spots on a map. Their coordinates should be calculated from an algorithm like word2vec or BERT by using their body of text. Then e-mails with a similar content would be placed close to each other.

Clusters of e-mails should get a background color and a name given by a tiny local AI model.

If you zoom in, you could see the subject of an e-mail. And if you click on an e-mail spot, the e-mail should open in the default frame. This means the map should be shown instead of the inbox list.

I found some images that illustrates this better than my words:

Perhaps this approach could also be useful to search for e-mails in any account or folder.

This could be interesting in combination with a semantic search to visually indicate the results with markers on the map.
