Thunderbird - option to disable "Your message doesn't have a subject" popup

In Thunderbird, it sure would be handy to have a preference in settings that would let a user enable/disable the annoying - for me anyway 🙂 - pop up notification that an outgoing email doesn't have a Subject. Thank you, John Reid

Yes I really want this - such a simple thing and yet so irritating!  At least give us the choice of having the prompt or not, in the settings.  Thanks in advance 😎

I have a filter for email that has no subject.  I delete it.

If the sender could not be bothered to give me a hint as to what they have to say, so I can prioritise their communication,  I cannot be bothered reading their missive. I used to look at them last,   but long experience showed that those without a subject rarely contained anything I was interested in, so now I just delete them.

Sending a message with ‘no subject’ may be useful for example when I use TB to send short messages to myself as reminders.

Control for missing attachments can be disabled already. So control for missing subject could be considered the same way.

Anyway, having a choice to disable this control does no harm to anyone: those who want to keep the control are happy, and those who do not like it are happy too.
