Thunderbird urgently needs a proper modern email signature editor.

At present, creating a professional signature in Thunderbird is far too difficult, fragile, and outdated compared to Microsoft Outlook. Even simple business signatures often become visually inconsistent, ugly, or broken unless the user manually works with HTML files, external formatting, or repeated trial and error.

This is not just a cosmetic issue. For many companies, email signatures are part of their professional identity and brand presentation. A poor signature solution makes Thunderbird look unfinished and unsuitable for serious business use.

What is needed is a built-in signature designer similar in concept to Outlook, including:

  • live visual editing

  • stable formatting

  • proper font and spacing control

  • logo/image placement that works reliably

  • clickable links

  • tables/layout blocks without HTML hand-editing

  • preview of how the signature will actually appear in sent mail

  • support for multiple signatures per account

  • simple assignment of signatures to new mail / replies / forwards

The current approach feels outdated and too technical for normal users. Thunderbird should not require HTML knowledge just to create a clean and professional company signature.

A modern signature editor would make Thunderbird far more attractive for business users, especially on Linux, where many people look for a serious alternative to Outlook.

Please treat this as an important usability and business adoption issue, not a minor enhancement.
