Thunderbird - Mute Folders

It would be great to have an easy option to mute notifications for single folders / subfolders of the inbox, or to include a "mute notification" option for filters. While there are add-ons capable of doing this (Filta-Quilla), unfortunately the latest version of Thunderbird are not compatible with them. Also it seems some relatively basic functionality to me, which could be expected from an email client.
