Thunderbird mail: quick filter menu items must show selected state

When using the quick filter menu: the user must review the results to discover what quick filter menu options are being applied. Some options require more cognitive load to figure out (for example, "contacts").

When no results are displayed, it not possible to know which ones are selected.

I do not see a difference in the quick filter toolbar between results which find message and no messages found.

@Thomas_Mozilla, Can you explain please with screen shots?
