Thunderbird - Empty trash & Compact

Love Thunderbird so quick, simple and reliable.

To improve user efficiency I'm often asked by my users, Why not a button that Empties the Trash then auto follow on to Compact the email account. Great ideas from thinking users. Yip I know no-one else that Ive seen does it but would be a good update.

Compact is something the development team are working to get rid of entirely.  So I really do not think it will be getting attention to automate it any more than it is already.  Having it automatically occur when you reach a space-saving threshold is about all anyone needs

Likewise, you can have the application empty the trash on exit, so really the whole concept of manually emptying the trash and compacting is not really required.
