Thunderbird calendar Display of categorized appointments

Would it be possible for the categorized appointments to be displayed in such a way that the entire appointment receives the category color?
At the moment you only see a mini bar on the right, which is hardly noticeable.
I like the way this is implemented in Outlook...

Thanks a lot.

Almost! But when the category color ist dark (eg dark blue) you can't red the event text anymore.
Therefore the text color should be changed to white. But ONLY for dark category colors!

Having the entire event color coded (easily) instead of a small colored flag as it is now, would increase user firendliness for me enormously. Such a change would be highly appreciated.
