Hi there, this is something that my Outlook-using coworkers brought up. We need to submit our timesheets within 2 workdays of the beginning of the month. Outlook has the ability to set a reoccurring event on the "first weekday" - which is super useful, in my opinion.

In comparison, Thunderbird can also do "the first" options for monthly reoccurring events, but they're limited to just days of the week, and the first day of the month (regardless of whether it's a weekend or weekday).

I'd like to humbly request that Thunderbird Calendar add the ability to select "weekday" from "the first" (or the second, third, etc, whatever - but "the first" is key) dropdown menu.

Thank you for your consideration!

To make matters worse - so I tried setting this up in Outlook like my coworkers did. Last workday of the month, at noon. Here's how it looks on August 2025 next month, where the last weekday of the month is August 29:

and then used TbSync + the exchange plugin, let's see how it looks at the end of August in Thunderbird/Lightning calendar.

Unfortunately, it seems to duplicate that August 29 event, and put it on every day that last week, at noon.

I know that Thunderbird is looking to get native ActiveSync support sometime in 2025 (I donated money to the project this year in excitement for that) so perhaps this will all "just work" then instead of relying on 3rd party clients. This is the first and only time I've had such a major glaring issue with the coordination of Outlook Activesync/EAS and Thunderbird together.
