I would really like to be able to add a note to my emails. As of right now I just leave them unread until they have been follow through with or are completed but being able to add notes would help me keep track so much better. Example notes: Already forwarded to the accountant. Waiting for P&L Report to attach. #thunderbird#

I had a similar need, but not for notes per individual email—rather, notes per sender.

I built an add-on that lets you attach a note to the sender of an email, so the next time you receive a message from the same person the note is shown automatically. I use it to store quick communication context like “cooperative”, “open balance”, etc., so I can immediately remember who I’m dealing with without searching through previous messages.

It won’t replace per-message notes (like labeling individual Amazon orders), but for recurring contacts it’s very useful. If this matches your workflow, I’d love feedback and I’m happy to help anyone set it up:

ich vermisse folgende Funktion. Bei einzelnen E-Mails möchte ich gelegentlich Anmerkungen eintragen, damit ich beim Abarbeiten zurückgestellter E-Mails sofort auf den Arbeitsablauf komme.

z. B. eine E-Mail zu einem Vertrag. Dieser wird oft mit Vertragsnummer gemailt. Da ich jedoch viele Verträge habe, muss ich jedes Mal über die Nummer den Vertrag heraussuchen. Einfacher wäre es, wenn ich dieses einmal mache, dann eine Anmerkung an die E-Mail setze und dann immer wieder schnell den Sachverhalt vor Augen habe.

HI, I miss the following function. I would occasionally like to enter comments on individual emails so that I can immediately get back to the workflow when processing emails that have been put on hold. e.g. B. an email about a contract. This is often emailed with the contract number. However, since I have many contracts, I have to use the number to find the contract each time. It would be easier if I did this once, then added a note to the email and then quickly looked at the situation again and again.
