Firefox Fennec had a great tabbed interface on tablets. When Fenix came, we regressed to a stretched out phone UI. After years of stagnation, Android tablets are rising again, thanks to foldables and new initiatives from Google. Firefox is missing out by not including a tabbed interface for Android tablet users, particularly because FF has best in class syncing abilities. Android power users are enthusiastic recommenders of their favorite browsers, so it would be huge advantage over Chromium based competitors!

Love using Firefox on desktop and android, but it's unusable on tablets right now, hope you include this idea.

A Decent Firefox UI and support for Android tablets definitely is a must. Typing from my tab s8 ultra and the current view of the browser is just a blown up mobile version, such a waste of space. 😞

I use FF on windows, Linux and my phone and being able to sync between them is amazing. Please bring a tablet application for android.

I had to stop using Firefox altogether because the tabbed browsing on Android tablets is a joke. And I have been a FF user for over 15 years. All Chromium based browsers have a tab-bar, but Firefox wants users to access the tabs by clicking a small button in the corner.

Having tab-bars should not be a "feature". This should be NORMAL in order of things in a browser in 2022.

I am going to move over to the Vivaldi camp till Firefox fixes this.

Firefox should start worrying about loyal users jumping boat because the boat has no paddles.

Lack of this feature makes me use other browsers.. Sad state of affairs.

I am using a smartphone on the smaller side of the spectrum in terms of size, not a tablet and
I miss Fennec's great UI so much.

Please bring back the tabbed interface, it was a really great feature of the old firefox on android.

It would be great to have the possibility to enable the tabbed interface also on a phone-size device, regardless of the screen size.

Really agreeing with this, tablet UI is very useful for Android pad users.

I would totally love to be able to use a Firefox with a tablet interface. The new interface looks really bad on a stretched screen, like a tablet. And I have a small one, imagine how bad the interface looks on a 14 inch tablet. Firefox really needs to make this update happen, especially given how fold phones are trending.

Tablet ui

There needs to be a new tablet interface. You should add desktop tabs. That will make the app alot more easy to use on tablets.

It is complete nonsense that Firefox android does not have tablet mode. It feels like some kind of prank

Android Firefox tabs

I'm looking to swap back to firefox after a long time. I have a folding phone and i think there needs to be a tab bar like Chrome has. It's a huge QoL feature that's missing, for me as a fold user this is almost a game changer to whether I use Firefox or not. Perhaps also a toggle option if to use a current open tab rather than make a new one everytime when on the homepage as tabs can get out of control very quickly on mobile and it would help avoid the need for you to implement the option of changing the homepage

I agree 100%. I have taken to using Vivaldi as my daily driver because the Firefox UI on my 14.6" Galaxy Tab s8 ultra simply sucks. But what makes it even more galling is that on my wife's iPad Air, it actually does have a tablet interface! What the hell Mozilla?

@dskouras68Firefox on the IPad/IPhone uses Webkit as a base instead of Gecko, so that's probably why there's a proper Tablet design.
