First of all, kudos on the recent introduction of the vertical tab feature! It's a fantastic addition that helps maximize vertical screen real estate — something I and many others really appreciate.

I enabled hiding the tab list by default to gain even more usable space. While this does work well for a cleaner look, it does come with a tradeoff: losing visual cues for open tabs — like how many tabs are open or which one I'm currently on.

I suggest implementing a Tab Preview feature when pressing Ctrl+Tab, similar to how Windows shows app previews when you use Alt+Tab.

Check "Ctrl+Tab cycles through tabs in recently used order" in the settings and you'll see it's already there. It only works in one direction, tho.

Is this still an open topic?

The "recently used order" feature is there but the color scheme is really odd. Cannot see where ctrl-tab is positioned.

Also, please make the feature available without "recently used order" for those who prefer it. It messes up tab cycling especially on sites like Amazon where search results open in new tabs. Just a natural sequence would be preferable.

Installed Zen yesterday (1.16.3b (Firefox 143.0.4) (64-bit)) and absolutely love the interface with nothing showing until you do something specific.

Just a neat visual cue for cycling tabs would be good.

Actually the feature is there. Under "Theme Settings > Briefly make the toolbar popup when switching or opening new tabs in compact mode" enabling this option causes the sidebar to show when cycling tabs. But ... I personally find the time window too small and again visibility is an issue for me (glaucoma).

Also installed Better CtrlTab Panel (v1.0.1) but changing the color/alpha values has no effect, guess it's still in development phase, or I am not doing something right.

That is the only issue that prevented me from switching to Zen as my default right away.

Arc went half way right. Zen has gone all the way right. Just a few minor visual tweaks needed, methinks.

About time the control clutter of old browsers went away 🙂

Thank you.
