Syncing Google Tasks and Thunderbird Tasks

I just downloaded and installed Thunderbird.

When setting things up, it looks like my Google account and calendars have synced nicely.

For some reason, google tasks aren't imported/synced.

It would be nice if tasks could sync.

If this is already a feature, I'd like to know how to implement it 🙂

then there is  this https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/open-google-tasks/?src=search

It makes no pretence about syncing, it just opens google tasks web page in a tab
