Currently, we can set the default editing format to plain text or html, and then by pressing Shift+Create, Reply or Forward we can switch temporarily to the non-default format. Eg my default is plain text, and when I want to forward an html message I shift+forward. The problem is that sometimes you realise you want to switch between html and plain text after you have typed your text.

There should be a way to do that without having to start all over again. Switching from plain text to html is easy because there is nothing lost. Switching from html to text means that formatting will be lost which is probably what the user wants anyway.

It could simply be a drop-down in the window to compose messages, to the left of the 'Attach' drop-down, with a check-box indicating the currently selected editing mode ('HTML' or 'plain text').

Making moves

Here is what I finally did.. Remove the email in the account setting, rename the account (DUD), Remove all properties and information to the server, filling in the email as,( no@email.com ) Uncheck ALL boxes in the account. Restart your computer then open Thunder bird.

Eventually you will see the option to remove the account as you would the same way as Removing a local folder in Thunderbird.

It seem to me that Thunder Bird should have allowed a user to be able to REMOVE AN ACCOUNT.

Why this feature option ( to be able to remove an account) is not available or does not exists, is beyond my comprehension of COMMON SENSE UNDERSTANDING.

Why would the Developers of this program, miss the opportunity to help users with this issue.

Go into the account settings and ad the option button there.
