Suppress Thunderbird notifications when a fullscreen application (e.g., a game) is running

Currently, when Thunderbird receives a new email while a fullscreen application (e.g., a game) is running, the user is immediately thrown back to the desktop, which is very frustrating.

Proposal:
Add an option in Settings, e.g., "Suppress notifications while a fullscreen application is running," which would automatically suppress Thunderbird notifications in such cases. The notification sound should still be played.
